RE: Big 3 rear axle #'s

The only time you will see 10.5" axle in a Dodge 2500 is when it has a gas motor. Otherwise 2500 & 3500 trucks with the Cummins will have an 11.5" axle.

RE: Trans Temp Gauge Install Pics Added

As far as I am concerned, there is only one location to accurately measure your tranny temps from. That is your transmission cooler outline. I have seen temps get as high as 300 degrees coming out of that line.
I hope you mean the line leading to the tranny cooler (hot line). If it's the line leaving the cooler and your seeing 300 degrees then your transmission is probably toast!!!

RE: Lightweight Toy Hauler

Take a look at Eclipse.
The Attitude Z-Gravity or Stellar Lightning may work for you.

RE: changin gears to a 4.10, O/D on or off

You need to keep in mind that the only thing changing ratios does for you is give you better acceleration off the line. People seem to think that it gives you "more power." It doesn't. The power available from the engine is the same, and it will take X power to move Y trailer in Z conditions no matter the gear ratio.
If you're able to haul the trailer in 3rd, save your money and haul it in 3rd. 3rd is 1:1, which always was top gear until they started putting overdrives in pickup trucks.
The power is the same however you'll have more torque to the rear wheels, allowing you to tow your trailer easier. Changing from 3.55 to 4.10 gears will give you ~15.5% more torque at the wheels.

RE: 2008 Dodge QuadCab Hemi 5.7 Liters.

Going on 3 years towing with my 03 HEMI powered Ram.
For two years we towed a small light weight travel trailer under 5000#'s loaded and we averaged 11-12 MPG.
In 07 we upgraded to a toy hauler under 7000#'s loaded and been averaging between 9 & 10 MPG.
Unloaded mixed city/highway 15 MPG.
All this was done with a 3.55 axle ratio, which isn't good for towing, but helped highway MPG.
Recently upgraded from 3.55 to 4.10 gears to help with the heaver toy hauler, however I haven't had a chance to tow. When we make the 3 hour trip to Glamis next month I'll know if the 4.10 gears helped or hurt our MPG.

RE: Is there any "Service" left in service?

We’re on our second RV and these are some of the reasons we didn’t purchase the extended warranty, this time.
Last July we took our new toy hauler in for some minor warranty repairs. One of the issues was the dinette. The screws for the table leg mounts were poking through the top of the table. The service writer said he had to order a new table and would take about a week. I followed up with him several times over a three week period and got same answer, it’s on order.
Let’s see: The manufacturer for our toy hauler (Eclipse) is located in Riverside, CA. The dealer is located in Colton, CA 10 miles away. +3 weeks seems a little ridiculous.
Anyways we just wrote it off and decided to live with the defect.
Two days ago (now six months later) the service writer calls and says our table is in. I say wow I totally forgot about it, since it’s been six months and the service writer chuckles.
So I bring my old table in to swap for the new table and the one he wants to give me is the wrong color and pattern. As we're standing there and he’s trying to convince me to take the table which he says is in excellent condition and I agree, but tell him it’s not going work it doesn’t match the rest of our counter tops.
They take pictures and say they’ll order the correct one tomorrow.
I’m not going to hold my breath.
McMahons service department in Colton is a joke.
